Accessibility Statement
Last updated: July 24, 2026
The 25th Infantry Division Association is committed to making this website usable by everyone, including veterans and family members who rely on assistive technology. Many of our own members use screen readers, magnification, keyboard navigation, and captions, and this site is built and maintained with them in mind.
Our Standard
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA.
What This Site Does
- Every page can be navigated by keyboard alone, including menus, search fields, memorial tiles, and dialog windows
- A "skip to main content" link is available at the top of every page
- Images carry text alternatives; videos are titled; historical audio recordings include text descriptions
- The opening lightning animation respects your system's reduced-motion setting, can be skipped with a keyboard-accessible button, and its flash rate is limited to remain below seizure-risk thresholds
- Forms have visible labels, clear error messages announced to screen readers, and visible keyboard focus indicators
- Text colors are chosen to meet WCAG AA contrast minimums
Known Limitations
- Back issues of the Tropic Lightning Flashes magazine are provided as PDF files, some of which are scanned documents that are not fully screen-reader accessible. We are working through the archive; if you need the content of a specific issue, contact us and we will help.
- The 1968 Tet Offensive audio recordings are historical field recordings in which much of the speech is unintelligible; a verbatim transcript is not available, and a text description is provided instead.
- Embedded third-party content (YouTube players, the Zeffy donation form) is controlled by those providers, and their accessibility may vary.
Feedback
If you encounter a barrier on this site, please tell us through the contact page. Include the page address and a description of the problem, and we will work to fix it and get you the information you needed in the meantime.
